Help – New Minnesota Books Needed !

Minnesota Aviation Hall of Fame is asking to make them aware of any new books or magazine articles written about Minnesota aviation or books written by Minnesota authors. Our annual Writing Award is bestowed during the Annual Awards Banquet and the written piece is acquired for our Hall of Fame library. Often, we are not the first to notice new works and thus we ask for your help. Just send us a note through the Contact Us page on our website mahof.org

Minnesota Military Veterans Museum Walls Are Up

The Minnesota Military Museum at Camp Ripley shared the sidewall construction stage of its new museum. We are eager to have this museum finished and open to the public. Grand Opening is scheduled for 2026. The museum will honor veterans of all wars with videos, interactive displays, interviews and artifacts that will illustrate the stories and accomplishments of our finest heroes. The WWII veterans have virtually disappeared and the Korean War vets are not far behind. It is now up to the Vietnam War veterans to tell their stories for posterity. The museum will feature their activities. Hopefully there will even be a place for us Cold War Veterans in the Minnesota Veterans Museum!

Check out their new website: mnvetmuseum.org.

Northwest Airline History Museum Re-opens

NWA History Museum Archivist, Bruce Kitt happily proclaims the Museum will once more be open following a devastating flooding from a broken pipe above their facility at the Crown Plaza-Air Hotel. It’s a nostalgic look back at Northwest Airlines operations, portrayed with uniforms, models, artifacts – and a Speed Holman display centered around the new acquisition, a Grandfather Clock donated from the Holman Family, given as a trophy to Speed for winning a national air race. Address is: 3 Appletree Square, 8101 34th Ave. S., Bloomington, MN 55425. Open Fridays 11-5.
