Serving Midwest Aviation Since 1960

Join MnDOT Aeronautics at EAA AirVenture 2022 in Oshkosh

Attend The World's Largest Gathering of Pilots, Aviation Enthusiasts

In 2021, over 608,000 attendees visited Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture. In 2022, MnDOT Aeronautics will again be at AirVenture, hosting a booth to promote the many aviation opportunities available in Minnesota through tourism, opportunities for businesses, and the great airports throughout Minnesota. AirVenture visitors come from across the United States and the around the world. Visit http://www.airventure.org/airventure to learn more about EAA AirVenture 2022. This great aviation event is scheduled for July 25-31, 2022 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The MnDOT Aeronautics booth is in the Collins Aerospace Hangar B, booth number 2123. Each year, MnDOT invites local representatives to promote local Minnesota airports, aviation businesses, and communities.

For example, Discover Austin Minnesota has promoted the SPAM Museum and provided sample packets of Minnesota-based Hormel's famous SPAM, Minnesota DNR shared information about seaplane safety on Minnesota lakes, and Kreg Anderson from Alexandria promoted AXE airport and Alexandria area tourist opportunities such as the Runestone Museum.

Local Minnesota airports and communities can provide information at MnDOT's booth with a flyer, postcard or giveaways. The flyer/postcard should list opportunities to explore the airport and the local community.

Specific local opportunities might include underwing camping, provided picnic area(s), local restaurants, tourist spots, dates of your airport's fly-in, and even fuel discount offers for those who stop at your airport within the next month or two.

You can even provide airport and community related "swag" that will remind AirVenture booth visitors to stop at your airport or business. MnDOT Aeronautics staff will gladly promote your airport and business at our booth. Help promote your community as a great Minnesota destination for aviation!

MnDOT's booth at AirVenture is also a great opportunity for local airport representatives to promote their airport's community. Minnesota is truly a great aviation destination, with a supportive aviation community. In previous years, local Minnesota airport representatives connected with visitors interested in fuel stops on the way home, destination ideas, upcoming events, hangar availability and airport amenities. MnDOT's booth includes materials with those messages and highlights our partner airports.
