Tree of Hope success despite inclement weather
January 1, 2019
Tree of Hope had another successful year thanks to all those that made donations and volunteered. Without people like you, Tree of Hope would not be successful.
We were able to supply 40 hospitals across Minnesota (including two in Wisconsin), five Ronald McDonald Houses and three homeless shelters.
The weather was not conducive to flying so there were no planes that flew in. Even Santa and his reindeer couldn't land.
There were many that drove in to Maple Lake Airport to drop off toys and pick up the toys to deliver. Over 115 volunteers were involved in the collection and distribution of toys, some helping before the collection date, many at the toy collection site and delivering toys to the hospitals.
The Tree of Hope program would like to thank all those who helped put a smile on a little face this holiday season.
Thank you notes...
Santa's elves have been filling our shelves! We recently received toys and stuffed animals from the Tree of Hope - Minnesota, and the Women of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brookfield Township.
These gifts will be given to children who have surgery, visit the emergency room or are hospitalized this holiday season.
We extend our sincerest thanks to both groups for their generosity and for helping to make hospital visits a little less stressful for our young patients.
