KFCM Saturday Morning Seminar Series

Looking for some aviation education, a Wings credit, or maybe just a donut with coffee and some hangar flying? Look no further than the KFCM Saturday Morning Seminar Series!

Seminars are held every Saturday morning from 0900-1000 and are free of charge.

The only exceptions are holiday weekends, Oshkosh, Flying Cloud Air Expo and the Flying Cloud Air Tour.

They are held at Modern Avionics/Air Trek North, 10000 Flying Cloud Drive, on the east side of the field.

Flying in is encouraged – our Tower controllers are friendly and know that transients fly in on Saturdays for the seminars. If you fly in, please feel free to ask for progressive taxi instructions.

Self serve fuel is available at Modern Avionics.

Feel free to come a little early, or stay a while afterwards to talk with fellow pilots.

Seminar topics can be found on FAASafety.gov where you can sign up for e-mail notification of upcoming events through the Wings program. They can also be found listed on modernavionics.com.

Several upcoming topics are Flying To Oshkosh, Warbird Extravaganza, and Safety Risk Management. Mark Baker, AOPA President, will be speaking in August. Topics vary and are geared towards all pilots from students to ATPs flying everything from drones and powered parachutes to jets. Wings credit is granted, usually in the Basic and Advanced Knowledge categories.

You may drop in without registering, but signing up in advance is appreciated so that there will be coffee and donuts for all who desire them.

Please contact Laura Herrmann, Lead FAASTeam Representative, with any questions at ljherrmann@yahoo.com (preferred) or 952-210-8600.

Also, we are always looking for speakers, so let us know if you have a topic you would like to share with your fellow aviators. No speaking experience required!

Hope to see you at a seminar soon!
