Minnesota Airports Conference 2016 well attended

A great mix of education, networking, socializing, and fun!

With the power behind the Minnesota Council of Airports, Minnesota Department of Transportation, and the Airport Technical Assistance program, the 2016 Minnesota Airports Conference chalked up a huge, successful, well attended event. A variety of venues were available at the Conference held at Madden's on Gull Lake in April featuring experts in aviation and aerospace fields sharing their experiences in general assembly presentations, workshops and open forums.

Subject matters included Airline Pilot Shortage, Minimum Standards, Emerging Technology to Administer and Maintain Small Airports, Airport Sustainability, Airport Careers, and Airport Lease/Development Agreement.

The Conference lived up to its aim to "deliver the most up-to-date and advanced information for Minnesota aviation professionals and provide an opportunity for industry and government officials to exchange ideas on funding, trends, airport management, operations, maintenance, and best practices."

The three-day conference allotted time for networking, mixing, a vedor-sponsored social, and even a chance to meet Minnesota Vikings player Adam Thieland and former Minnesota Twin Jack Morris at a BBQ buffet.
